About Me
The Basics:
My name is Christian Hahn. I'm currently living in Philadelphia and I'm a Graduate Digital Media student at Drexel University. In terms of my profession, I consider myself a coder, designer, developer, and artist. My Work:
I love to think. Whether it's designing a small web-widget or rigging a 3D robot, I find satisfaction in working tirelessly to solve problems. “How do I make this work” is a question I find myself being asked all the time, by myself and others. It is one of my favorite questions to solve, even if it takes me days and nights of work.Having a strong background in math and logic, working on code and dynamically driven content is something that I can find real passion for. Whenever possible I like to be able to break something down to its core mathematical components, and I love to be able to have control of a coded environment to get the best out of the simplest vector animation, to complicated particle systems.
My Style:
My creations vary from the light and fantastical, to the dark and technical. This new website design shows a little of both. I've been selected by friends as the go-to guy for mocking up mythical utopian landscapes such as appear in my 'Cerulea' work collection. Anything from lush sea-landscapes to beautiful futuristic celestial colonies and cities fit into this category. On the other hand, much of my work can have a dark or cynical tone, and I love employing many blacks and blues... on almost anything. Much of my work also has a futuristic flair about it, also typically involving themes of time-travel. I love futuristic looking buildings, modern skyscrapers, clean solid geometrical forms.
I love san-serif fonts, some of my current favorites being 'Zero (twos)' and 'Earth'. I like to stay away from serifs as much as possible, though being a coder, you do learn to love monospaced type-faces like courier.
